Maktaaq, I guess I was just surprised to find Her Majesty as one of the choices on a form. Kind of like those jokes where the guy in the 'Information' booth tells someone that their missing socks are under the bed.

I have to say that the Queen's flag is...complicated looking. I wonder if she had a say as to what was to be on it? Come to think of it, if we could all have our own flags, what would we put on them?

Gene, I hadn't thought about the whole far-flung family aspect of this.

Good stuff. I registered my domain name .ca because a long distant cousin had already gotten blishen.com. He doesn't use it and wanted $$$ for it. But then it worked out better. When you have family members all over the place you get to be the known Canadian with the .ca site.

"(and I’m not making this up:) Her Majesty the Queen"

Hey, what's wrong with the Queen having her .ca domain? She even gets a special Canadian flag different from the rest of us, the Queen's Personal Canadian Flag. Her flag is so personal, it'll change when King Charles takes over (who'll then get his own King's Personal Canadian Flag). So who's to say she can't take advantage of the .ca?

Besides everyone ordering Charles and Camilla commemorative merchandise can all breathe a sigh of relief knowing that prices won't be in pounds. ;)

(PS I like the Great Soggy West. Finally we're back into normal weather.)
